It started in 2002 with an idea by the founders of 'Bikers Make A Difference' (aka BMAD) Kelvin and Jane Halloran to have a social gathering of bikers on Paignton Seafront in Devon. Paignton Bike Night finally saw its birth in 2003 and has gone on to become the longest running largest regular social gathering of bikers in the South West of England.

Each year on Paignton Seafront BMAD regularly gather a mile of bikes parked side by side every Wednesday evening from May to Sept.                                        The bikes attending represent the whole spectrum of bike culture from classics to the latest sports bikes and from stock to full custom. It's also the place to see some of the maddest trikes you can imagine and to fill up with fish 'n chips and a mug of hot tea before the ride home.                                     Check www.bmad.co.uk for a full list of dates.

Seasons end, the last bike night of 2009 comes to a close.

Due to the success of the Bike Nights, BMAD now organise a bike festival weekend, which is held on Paignton Green, right on the seafront. The first Festival was in May 2005 and proved to be a total success not just for our charities but also for all concerned including the many sponsors and traders that attended.

All the money raised at both the Wednesday Bike Nights and the Festival go to charities, which include Devon Air Ambulance, St John Ambulance and the Devon Blood Bikes.
