I'm a West Midlands born but now Devon based freelance photo-journalist, working mainly these days in and around  the Volkswagen and kit car scene (not forgetting the dogs, horses, kayaks, trawlers etc!), although I'm always open to offers!

Me on the summit of my favourite mountain, Pikes Peak, high above Colorado Springs in the USA. The forced grin might have something to do with the thumping headache, due to the altitude - ouch!

I can’t remember when I first picked up a camera, though I was probably around eight years old at the time. But one thing that I can be certain of, was that it fascinated me.

Over the years, as I got older, my cameras improved. From my original Kodak Instamatic (well I guess we all had one of those!), I moved to a Zenith E (my first proper SLR camera), then on to Practica, Pentax, before I finally found Canon. Firstly using 35mm kit (T90's and EOS-1's)  before going digital some years ago, firstly with a EOS-10D and more recently an EOS D7
